Casting Service Full Process — From Inquiry to Delivery

From customer inquiry to product delivery, Sumpro operates a standardised 11-step service process that keeps every step transparent, controllable and quality-traceable. Our full-chain capability covers investment casting, CNC machining, surface treatment and non-destructive testing.

Step 1 — Inquiry

Customers submit requirements by phone, WeChat, email or online form, including material, quantity, delivery schedule and other basics.

Step 2 — Technical Coordination

Engineers communicate one-on-one with the customer to confirm technical parameters, recommend material grades and analyse process feasibility.

Step 3 — Drawing Confirmation

Customer provides drawings (PDF/DWG/STEP/IGS/X_T). Engineers perform casting process review and identify key control points.

Step 4 — Quotation & Contract

A formal quotation is issued based on drawings and quantity. Price, delivery and payment terms are confirmed and a processing contract is signed.

Step 5 — Process Design

Casting process plan: parting-line design, gating & risering design, shrinkage compensation, heat-treatment schedule.

Step 6 — Moulds & Tooling

Wood, metal or wax-injection moulds are built per the process design; flasks, core boxes and other tooling are prepared.

Step 7 — Raw Casting

Investment casting (≤500 kg) or sand casting (≤3 t, structures 5 t+). Every heat is spectrometrically checked at the furnace for chemical composition.

Step 8 — Heat Treatment

Solution treatment / normalizing / aging / stress-relief annealing to remove casting stress, refine microstructure and stabilise dimensions.

Step 9 — Finish Machining

20+ CNC machines covering turning, milling, drilling and grinding, accuracy ±0.01 mm.

Step 10 — Surface Treatment

Pickling / passivation / shot blasting / polishing / painting per customer requirements.

Step 11 — QC & Delivery

Chemical spectrometry + mechanical properties + UT/MT NDT + CMM dimensional inspection. Full inspection reports ship with every batch.
