Quality Control & Testing System
Sumpro has always held that "quality is the lifeline of the company". Since its founding, the company has built a quality management system in line with ISO 9001:2015, covering the four stages of incoming inspection, process control, final inspection and shipping audit — full-process traceability from raw material intake to finished product delivery.
Quality Management System
Sumpro passed ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification in 2021, covering the design and manufacture of special-alloy castings, forgings and precision components. System documents include the Quality Manual, Procedure Manual, Work Instructions and quality records. A dedicated Quality Department reports directly to the General Manager to ensure independent and authoritative quality management.
1. Incoming Inspection (IQC)
- Every incoming raw material batch is accompanied by a Material Test Report (MTR)
- Spectrometric verification of chemical composition against ASTM/GB/DIN/EN standards
- Visual inspection: surface defects, dimensional deviation, packaging integrity
- Nonconforming materials are segregated and returned — substandard raw material never enters the line
2. Process Control (IPQC)
- Mould inspection: mould dimensions, surface quality, assembly accuracy
- Wax pattern inspection (investment): surface finish, dimensional sampling
- Shell building inspection: slurry viscosity, stucco grit size, number of coats, drying conditions
- Melting control: spectrometric test per heat; heat number, temperature and pour time recorded
- Heat-treatment control: temperature curve per process card; heating/soaking/cooling curves recorded
- Machining process: first-piece 100% inspection, batch sampling; key dimensions measured by CMM
3. Final Inspection (FQC)
Every finished batch must pass the following tests before a quality report is issued and the batch ships:

Quality Traceability System
Every part / batch carries a unique heat & lot number, tracing the full record chain: raw material intake batch → melting heat number → pouring record → heat-treatment curve number → inspection report number → shipping date.
Quality documents are retained for at least 7 years. Customers may request a traceability package (MTR, inspection reports, certificates) at any time.
Nonconforming Product Management
- Nonconforming parts are immediately identified and segregated to prevent flow to the next process
- Quality Department review: rework / repair / downgrade / scrap
- 8D or 5-Why root-cause analysis for serious nonconformities
- Corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) tracked to closure
- Regular NCR trend statistics driving continuous improvement
